Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes and APKM Projects
Our annual pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2009—the following members from United Kingdom took part: Andrew and Anita Meeson and their daughter Joanna, Zbigniew Lis, Alexandra Wankowicz and her husband Eduardo Aranda Godlewski as well as Adam Malhomme de la Roche and Marek Stella-Sawicki.
The following year 2010 there were problems in obtaining flights to Lourdes and only Adam Malhomme de la Roche, Zbyszek Lis and Toni Daszewski, Alexandra Wankowicz and Eduardo Aranda Godlewski managed to go to what turned out to be an exceptionally wet experience but pilgrimages should of course involve some discomfort.
Lourdes is a spiritual and emotional experience with those who serve the sick and needy travelling over there. If you wish to join us you will be most welcome.
Our Association has been raising funds for our Rehabilitation Centre in Kraków for children who are born disabled. This is now the biggest and best centre in Europe run on the lines of the Bobart Centre.
We now aspire to extend our Cancer Diagnostic Centre in Poznań.
We would like to establish closer working ties with the British Association and hope to sent bigger team of helpers to Lourdes in 2011.
